Injuries are part of the athletic experience. Many young players will be looked to to share these senior's minutes and fill the goal scoring void. Yet senior leadership is very hard to replicate. Baptism by fire will both humble and mature our young squad.

This group of players just needs to learn that it's a fast-paced game and they've got to play hard and play fast all the time. There's no better lesson than getting your butt kicked at home.

A wonderful, athletic talent, who is a nationally touted goalkeeper, Lauren brings great shot-stopping ability, a strong tactical understanding of the game, and overwhelming courage and tenacity. She will immediately compete for time in the net.

Ashley brings National Team potential. She has tremendous skill with the ball, great variety and range in distribution and a comprehensive vision of the field. We anticipate her to have an immediate impact in our midfield.

A quick, solid player who has the ability to both assist and score goals, Erica will be resourceful in either our midfield or up front.

Our defense has played against Tiff Weimer for four years now, Melissa Miller and Emily Francis know her, and they are going to be the two responsible for trying to handle her. She is a pretty difficult player to contain, and it starts with just containing her. She is a hell of a talent, it's an honor for us to have her here in her senior year and have this opportunity to play with her.

The rhythm for our team in the first half was strong. We are starting to see some personality emerge and in the second half we were determined to pull things together. The game was really flowing together for us.

Beating Penn State is not going to be an easy task no matter how you stretch it, whether it's at their place or at our place. I think being at home gives us that bit of an advantage. It's always tough to play here and it's always tough to play at their place. We certainly prefer to be going into this game being at the Jesse.
